Dr. Nancy Colfer: Lisa Kaye Photography Meet Dr. Nancy Colfer

I was born and raised in the Chicago area. As a teenager, I developed an interest in natural methods of health care and sought out chiropractic treatment for myself. I graduated with high honors at Elmhurst College in Illinois, then enrolled at National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois, where I earned a B.S. in Human Biology and, in 1990, a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

While still studying to be a chiropractic physician, I set out to fulfill a dream of seeing the Pacific Northwest. I fell in love with Oregon and moved to Eugene as soon as I graduated. In 1991, I completed the rigorous examinations to become licensed in Oregon and started my practice here in Eugene. Each year I attend continuing education courses to stay abreast of the latest chiropractic research and practice methods.

Today, I live with my family and my poodles in Eugene. I enjoy my thriving practice and wonderful patients. When not working, I enjoy visits to the coast, hikes in the woods, gardening, solving sudoku and crossword puzzles, good books and movies. I'm involved in the community through Soroptimist International of Eugene, the Eugene Chamber of Commerce, and Community Emergency Response Team. I volunteer with the Eugene/Springfield Special Olympics, and I sponsor a team with the Emerald City Roller Girls. I'm also a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Oregon Chiropractic Association.
